- Seems that so much has happened, and yet so little? Or maybe it is that I have been busy doing other things, and just not been in a position to do any postings? Actually, have been a bit depressed the last week or so - fell over, fractured some (2?) ribs, gained 'stigmata' on my left palm, so could not do the ATB ride ... not that I had been excessively training, but was comfortable that I would make it. Eventually ... So, took a week off work, moped around the house, feeling sorry for myself, not actually doing much ... Rang 3 times on Tuesday to get appointment with Doctor (first 2 times there was no response), only to be told that a Geelong Cup Day on Wednesday, no appointments :o so got the first one on Thursday ... Was odd loitering about outside, with all these people - keen or what? - but then I realised that they were waiting to get their daily dose of 'done ... Mind you, it was a tme to at least get back into reading, so I trooped off to the library (the doctor having told me that I would be well advised to move around a bit - stop me getting pneumonia, apparently), and it was good to reintroduce myself to the vagaries of the local lending service!
- CassE came by on Sunday, and we went to spend lots of money on plants - the Botanic Gardens had their seasonal sale on and visited the local markets. Also bought some bread there and some cucumbers. The other thing that we spoke about was going in on a rental property together, so I imagine I will have to look at what entity type would be best suitable, what the tax liabilities will be, and what to do about the accounting responsibilities ...
- No sooner did she depart and Felix turned up, with a leg of pork, along with a pack of Woodies, so there went the afternoon/evening! Although, because I had gone and purchased some new shoes the day before, I wanted to put the cleats on and go for a ride, so as to position them comfortably - let it be said that I am not very good at these things, and I may well have had the position best when I did it by the side of the kitchen table ... Anyway, whilst I cooked the meat/vegies, went for my ride, Felix sat and watched the final race of Casey Stoner at Phillip Island ...
- Saturday was a walk around, over to Newtown (now that the BoQ is closed on Saturday mornings), where I waited a very long time to get served - the dangers of community involvement, as there was discussion between the manager and the client ... Anyway, also popped into Randall's and swooned at the available options - good way to spend some money on good wines, I reckon? The rest of Pakington Street was fairly predictable for that time of day and the client base - visited an organic shop and had to dance around the family who were being too cool, taking up lots of space ... However, I did venture into Campione's and came across a rather nifty under-vest (with a kind of plastic on the front to protect the chest), which I ended up purchasing ...
- Was toying with the idea of going up to Melbourne, it being the last day of the ACMI exhibition, and there were also a few events on for the Melbourne Festival that I thought it may be nice to meet up with Glen to go and have a look at? But, in the end, I rang him to apologise, and sent a text to Gary to cry off ... not that I have heard back from Gary yet ... Anyway, on the way back, I called into the De Grandi sale, and bought myself a pair of Lake MX-85s ... They also have a rather nice looking Trance X-1 that I am seriously looking at ...
