Random ramblings, in duo ...

So, the (another?) week has passed, another public holiday (May Day) 'enjoyed' ... Another week to look forward to less $$ ...
Somewhere in that week, I got roused on by Chris for coming across as too aggressive, ironically after a session on assertiveness. Strangely enough, Chris saw himself as assertive, felt himself to be empowered, perhaps? Hence he did himself no favours, as assertiveness is predicated upon reciprocal rights, i.e. where you want to claim certain rights, they have to have been granted to you ... In any case, because of the delay, I rode the last part of the bikepath past dusk, and many of the riders, coming the other way, were quite surprised to 'see' me ...
Whether connected or not (all paranoid delusions aside), the next day Adele arced up, wondering if I was laughing at her! We had been discussing POI, Mike was reiterating how they were to be quantified, and I was reminded of the song 'One for the money', so chuckled quietly to myself. Strictly verboten apparently :O but then, of course, she just spoke all over me, moved the topic back to her, and on where went again ...
Friday night caught up with JimE for two (2) beers, then dragged him over to Caravanseri for supper with Sue and friends. No Wayne (of course-apparently is a bit off colour), but managed to have a rather good time, I guess? See above for some quick snaps from the night. Bought some Toohey's Extra Dry to share with JimE (and Ben), later popped bottle of fizz, later ended up back at Sue's with Nathan, enjoying shots of Vodka, and listening to him ... Did not get in until 0400? Consequently I got up to enjoy some toads-in-the-hole, but I swear that I must have been through four (4) coffees that day? Anyway, as I had piked on Jacqui that night, Saturday afternoon I pan-fried vegies (zucchinis, pumpkin, onions, garlic, carrot), tossed in some spiral pasta, and served with a splash of avocado oil ...
This morning I wandered over to watch the May day march, and caught the parade as it turned into Wickham Street, ending up rather cautiously balanced between the Socialist Alliance boffins and these strange eggs who were wearing 'Do not fund Labor' t-shirts, but also were holding these huge cheques, which purportedly showed how much the affliated unions had given to the ALP. Apparently they were NLP lackeys ... In any case, thought a good day to wear out my Rockports, with pushed down sox, along with my Rip-Curl shorts that DJ (apparently) gave me for my most recent birthday, but when my KGB shirt fell out, I could just imagine the irony something which I do not think the Socialist Alliance people really got - no sense of humour?), so I finished dressing in that ...
The w/e has had other adventures (PC box blowing up, watching physical efforts of 'performers' at Orleigh Park, planning more of financial strategies, etc.) but that will do you for awhile ...
