Well, the big news is the Father in the ICU ward, expected to only last the w/e, with ongoing Morphine infusions (lucky bugger-although having to go through all that pain may preclude any haste on my part) to combat the myeloid leukemia ... Or not - maybe he will just reach that point of equlibrium, and float away ...
In fact, this week started with all sorts of 'bad' news:
- Centrelink ignored my request to hold off on processing the o/s debt, and sent out to Recovery Corp to get some money back ...
- Came home on Friday night to find a letter from the R/E thanking me and to make sure I did certain things when I left. Problem was, I had not said I was leaving! So I went in there on Saturday to find out what was happening, and spoke to April, who confirmed that I been issued a 'Notice to leave', but refused to give me any details! So I had to wait until Monday, when I rang Chelsea, who told me that I had to be out by 30/06 ...
- Pain in chest was so, so bad that I have spent the entire week catching the bus to work, barely breathing, and having periodic blasts of the puffer. The main drawback is that I keep coughing at inappropriate moments, in a dry and hacking manner ...
- Am still not certain if I have fixed up the back wheel correctly, either. But, as I have been quite ill, I have not been able to take the bike out for a test spin to find out if it works or not. So, we shall have to see; we shall have to see ...
Hmm, no signal here in the hospital ... DASH!!!
